Formulation
Oils that speak skin's language
Jojoba sits so close to your skin's own sebum that it dissolves oil with oil - lifting makeup and SPF away without stripping it tight. Castor grips the stubborn, apricot kernel softens, and rosemary keeps the blend fresh. Nothing extra, only what earns its place.
Evidence
The proof is in the oils
You don't have to take our word for it - each oil carries a well-understood skin logic. Linoleic acid from sunflower is a building block of the skin's barrier, avenanthramides from oat soothe, and rosemary's carnosic acid protects the blend from turning rancid. No lab theatrics, just ingredients whose benefits are genuinely known.
Community
Soft skin, never tight
It comes up again and again in the reviews: makeup lifts away thoroughly, yet skin is left soft rather than dry and tight. A cleanse that does its work and still feels kind.
Fits real life
One step, done well
One bottle that melts the whole day away - makeup, SPF and city grime - in a single warm gesture. Easy to love and easy to keep to in a pared-back morning and evening ritual.
Packaging
Made in Sweden
Blended in Sweden from plant-based oils the maker states are 100 percent organic. We won't promise more than that - no certifications to lean on, just honest origins and care in the making.

For those who enjoy going deeper
Every product on our Top Shelf is supported by research before it earns its place. Here you'll find the evidence, ingredients and references behind our evaluation.
01Ingredient spotlight
Jojoba (Simmondsia Chinensis) — Chosen because it sits close to skin's own sebum. Its wax esters dissolve oil with oil, so makeup and excess sebum lift away without stripping the skin. Research also describes soothing, barrier-supportive properties.
Castor oil (Ricinus Communis) — The dense, gripping oil in the blend. Ricinoleic acid binds and dissolves sebum, makeup and SPF, and is also described as anti-inflammatory.
Apricot kernel oil (Prunus Armeniaca) — A light emollient that softens without feeling heavy. Its oleic and linoleic acids help limit water loss from the skin.
Rosemary (Rosmarinus Officinalis) — Here not as fragrance but as a natural antioxidant. Carnosic acid protects the oil blend from oxidation and keeps it fresh over time.
02Complete INCI
*Enligt OM|SE förekommer alkoholen naturligt i rosmarinextraktet. / Per OM|SE, the alcohol occurs naturally within the rosemary extract.
03Scientific evidence
Five ingredient-level studies underpin this formulation. They point the same way: sunflower oil's linoleic acid supports the skin's lipid barrier and reduces water loss (TEWL); jojoba's wax esters resemble sebum and are described as soothing; castor oil's ricinoleic acid dissolves sebum and makeup; apricot kernel oil limits water loss; and rosemary's carnosic acid protects the blend from oxidation.
This is evidence at the ingredient level — not a clinical study of this specific product. The maker reports no in-house dermatological testing and no certifications, so we list none. The alcohol on the INCI occurs naturally in the rosemary extract; it is not added separately.
04Our evaluation notes
- Barrier-supportive rather than stripping — sunflower and jojoba cleanse without breaking down the skin's lipid layer.
- Considered oil architecture: one dense, gripping oil (castor) balanced by light emollients (apricot, jojoba).
- Rosemary is here for stability, not scent — a natural antioxidant that keeps the oils fresh.
- A short, legible INCI with no synthetic fragrance and no added alcohol — fits a minimalist routine.
- Everyday-usable as the first step in a double cleanse, especially for makeup and SPF at night.
05Frequently asked questions
Can I use it alongside retinoids or other actives?
Yes — as a cleansing oil it is rinsed off before you apply your treatment steps, so it does not normally clash with retinoids, acids or vitamin C. It also leaves skin softened rather than tight, which many find gentle before actives. If your skin is sensitive or reactive, introduce one step at a time.
Is it suitable during pregnancy or perimenopause?
The INCI is simple — plant oils plus rosemary, with no added fragrance or synthetic actives. Many choose this kind of minimalist cleanse during such phases, but we cannot give medical advice. Consult your midwife, doctor or skin therapist if unsure, and reach out to the maker for specific questions.
Does it contain fragrance?
No fragrance is added. Any scent comes naturally from the plant oils and from rosemary leaf oil, which is present mainly as an antioxidant. Rosemary and other botanical oils can still be perceptible for natural reasons — if you are sensitive to essential oils, patch test first.
How should I store it, and how long does it keep?
Keep it cool and dark with the cap firmly closed — heat and light are what turn plant oils rancid. Rosemary's carnosic acid slows oxidation, but no pure oil blend lasts forever. Follow the period-after-opening (PAO) marking on the pack, and discard if the scent or colour clearly changes.
Morning or evening — when is it best used?
It shines in the evening as the first step of a double cleanse, where the castor and jojoba oils dissolve makeup and SPF. In the morning it can be used for a gentler cleanse if you prefer oil, though many keep the morning to water alone or a lighter product.
Will the oils clog pores?
The blend is built on oils often chosen for balanced skin — jojoba mirrors skin's own sebum, and sunflower and apricot are light emollients. Castor is denser but is rinsed off during cleansing. How a given skin responds is individual, so we avoid absolute promises; patch test if you are breakout-prone.
